Pioneer Salon - Lianjie Zheng

It has been two months since the last screening program. After winter reflection, Hua 'an Art has adjusted the positioning of the screening program. The new version of the event will not be limited to film screenings, but will focus on the guests themselves, keeping the online discussion model, held in even months every year. Each issue will invite a senior artist to share his/her personal experience and interact with readers and partners in China shore. Without the limitation of physical distance, this space for young artists to communicate freely with their predecessors is called Pioneer Salon.

The first "Pioneer Salon" after the revision will be held this Sunday, April 17, 8:30 am Beijing time; See you on April 16 (8:30 PM New York / 5:30 PM Pacific). In this event, we are honored to have with us an important guest, Lianjie Zheng, an internationally renowned Chinese artist and pioneer who is currently active in North America.

In this pioneer salon, we will show two video works by Jet Zheng, "Suffocation" and "Darkest Hour". For the first time, Mr. Zheng will publish his behavioral works "Bathing in the Grey Wind" and his ink works "Tiananmen Square" series and "Untitled". For the first time, the video records of the body works "Big Bang: Tying Lost Souls", the video records of the Great Wall rubbing series "In Commemoration of the Unification of the Two Germans" and the video records of "Seeds of Travel" were released. After the screening, Mr. Zheng will share his creative experience and other precious documents that have never been published before, and have a round table discussion with Chinese and American scholars and audience.

Lianjie Zheng was born in Beijing, China and now lives in New York and Beijing, one of China's most important contemporary artists in the United States, his works are widely respected by renowned art institutions, critics and private collectors worldwide.

As an internationally renowned contemporary artist, his artistic experimentation over the past 40 years has enabled him to span different civilizations, and he is the leader of contemporary ink painting from regional to international.
